cairnsbands - taking music to the people

Cairnsbands has three musical groups:

• Cairns Concert Band to provide a wide range of musical entertainment for a wide range of instruments
  Rehearsals: Wed 7:30 to 9:30pm


• Cairns Youth Stage Band, a stage band focused at students aged 11 to 19 to develop their skills in fields of jazz and show band musical performances.
  Rehearsals: Thu 7:00 to 8:00pm



• Tropical Brass band, a brass band ensemble of ten to twelve brass musicians providing a diverse range of popular music.
  Rehearsals: Tue 7:30 to 9:30pm

These Cairns bands are dedicated to "taking music to the people". As such musicians of all musical ability are welcome to join our bands.

The rehearsal hall is situated at 18 Charles Street, North Cairns and is a prominent two storey building.

The Tropical Brass band, Cairns Concert Band and the Cairns Youth Stage Band activities are carried out upstairs.

The three bands play at many community and other events through out the year.

Cairnsbands also promotes other musical groups and organisations in Tropical North Queensland and is proud to be associated with:

• Hotshots Bigband
• Cairns Concert Orchestra
